Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube

There is a new Wes Clark video that is very unusual at YouTube. Instead of talking about a candidate, in this case Wes Clark, it speaks directly to Wes Clark. I hope this really does go viral. I feel it has a message that Wes Clark needs to hear.

The full channel name is YouTube/Polcampaign. There is only one video there at least for the moment. I will be putting this on my blogs. I hope other blog owners and members do the same.

While we have a great primary line up already I believe Wes Clark can elevate any discussion. He has the talent, experience and hands-on knowledge of many of the most important topics of this election.

This isn't meant to be a declaration of 100% commitment on my part. While I have been a constant Clark supporter I think there are several members of the race that deserve a real hearing with an Open Mind. I'm trying to do just that...listen. But I want to listen to Wes Clark as part of that process.

If Wes Clark again gets a firm demonstration of his built-in support perhaps it will impact his decision making. While most of us expect him to run, based on his own comments, I believe this is a time to demonstrate his support. Circulating this video is one easy way to make the support obvious..and it will elevate the campaign!

Thank you (3.00 / 3)

for posting this.

I was not expecting what I saw in the video.

It really pulls at your heart. Makes you think.

Time for a Leader! (3.00 / 4)

"Some of the war's staunchest supporters are admitting they were wrong. And others now call for poll-tested positions. I speak to you today as the only person who will take this podium before you to actually have done the things we need to succeed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and throughout the world." - Wes Clark at the Winter DNC meeting

So heartbreaking and sad what the politics of greed and power have brought to our country and the world.

Thanks for finding and posting this BigDog.

I feel very confident -- from everything I've heard General Clark say about running recently -- that he will once again step up to serve our country. His whole life has been dedicated to duty, honor, country and that we need him more than ever is the understatement of the decade... :(

Dedicated... yes.

If you haven't had a chance to read this essay "How to Measure Souls: A Voter's Guide in 4 Easy Steps" it's well worth the time.

Thanks all for your (3.00 / 3)

comments and the heartfelt emotions.

I'm deliberately trying to push views of this video so Wes Clark will see the depth of support he has...and get in the game.

He knows we, the public and former volunteer and paid staffers, are asking the hardest thing in the world: to jump right into the middle of the biggest firefight of his life.

Sounds overdramatic? Not when you see the stakes and the venom of the Trail up close. We wouldn't do it if he didn't have such formidable qualifications.

I hope this video helps him make the choice.

Re: Thanks all for your (3.00 / 3)

It can definitely seem overdramatic, until you realize that the video features catastrophes that are affecting us, and STILL remain unsolved.  And frankly, if it gets Wes support, and gets him into the race, GOOD.  There are other Dem leaders I like, but he's got the most expertise, hands down.

And I'm also doing my damnedest to see that this thing goes viral.  WE ALL SHOULD.

Thanks, me too. I'm sending this off to my mother. (At her 75th birthday party the Bishop came and Cardinal George sent her a card.) -Joe (Irish ex-Catholic Democrat)

Re: Thanks all for your (none / 0)

Don't know to be frank. I've been struggling with being stiffed by several candidates this last cycle.

One to the tune of 20K. Oh well...he's at least trying to get it together. But the lost income kicked me to the curb. (In lots of ugly ways.)

I've got to call or something but I'm peddling real fast on my own bicycle right now. Hope that doesn't sound callous.

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (3.00 / 1)

Bush will be leaving (at least we hope he will leave) this country, and the world, in a dangerously unbalanced state.  We need a real proven leader, who is experienced and intelligent and a strategic diplomat, to guide us out of the morass.  Clark is the only one I trust to be able to do this.  Usually those with his credentials do not enter politics as there is more money to be made elsewhere.  Clearly, Clark is not as interested in money as he is in serving his country.  His personal history proves that.  His current preoccupation with Iran also proves that.  He is doing what needs to be done for America, rather than running around campaigning for office when there are months before the first primaries.

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (none / 0)

Clark would be my second choice if he were in the race, but really, the man has no domestic political experience save a short-lived run for the presidency in 2004.

What could Clark have done differently for Katrina victims than any of the other Democratic candidates?

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (3.00 / 2)

Wes Clark has managed worse situations than Katrina. His command positions have been like being a Governor of a State. He was not just responsible for the military aspect but for the well being of the families, civilians, schools....and even the pot holes in the roads.

Sitting in Congress OTOH, is about policy and making laws....nothing about management or governing.

For the difference, see this article in WaPo

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (none / 0)

To expand Pelicans comment with metrics:

At one point he was responsible for over 900,000 US service people and families in Europe and that doesn't count his many commands in the US.

This also doesn't count his experience at the OMB, White House liason, J5 (intelligence office)at the Joint Chiefs and being a Congressional liason, I believe, at one point.

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (none / 0)

Running in a campaign does not count as experience in anything except campaigning. Look instead at what work and life experiences a candidate has, and in the case of Presidential candidates, how have they performed in managing people, managing a large organization, handling crises, etc. The next President is going to have serious WORK to do.

Re: Unusual New Wes Clark Video at YouTube (none / 0)

Check the above comment of mine then read through the material at his site.

He has an amazingly broad background in administration, effective policy creation and implementation and being a forward thinking innovator.

If you can run the NATO organization with 17 sovereign nations to satisfy with every move and getting it done...that's effectiveness on a scale that is amazing.
